Research interests

The main direction of E.A. Sevost’yanov’s investigations is the study of space mappings with branching, i.e., the study of mappings which are not to be supposed homeomorphisms. The main achievements E.A. Sevost’yanov are the extension of some classical theorems of complex (space) analysis to the mappings with non–bounded characteristics of quasiconformality.  In particular, E.A. Sevost’yanov  have proved the analogues of the theorems of Sokhotski–Weierstrass and Picard, theorem of Liouville, theorem of Lavrent’ev–Zorich about global homeomorphism, the analogues of the inequalities of Vaisala and Poletskii for some wide class of space mappings and some others.

Grants and awards

By the decision of Academic Council of Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, E.A. Sevost’yanov  have  been awarded the so–called bonus (2006) by G.D. Suvorov who was one of the leader experts in the theory of mappings with the bounded Dirichlet integral and one of the founders of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. In 2009 E.A. Sevost’yanov was awarded by diploma of executive committee of Donetsk city soviet for stainless work, weighted achievements in the professional activity, personal contribution in the development of native science and on the occasion of  Day of Science.

In 2010 E.A. Sevostyanov was also awarded by the Diploma of the Department of the Education and Science of Donetsk Regional Administration on the occasion of  Day of Science.

In 2010 E.A. Sevostyanov (together with R.R. Salimov and Yu.S. Kolomoitsev) have got a bonus of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine which was awarded them in the following direction: «… to the most successful young scientists in the topic of fundamental and applicable investigations and scientific achievements». The above bonus was gotten by authors for a serious of the works named «The investigations in the theory of mappings with finite distortion and approximation of functions in the quasi–norm spaces (in Russian) » (Decision of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from February, 2, of 2010 year, minutes № 1847 – VI).

Career

Evgeni Aleksandrovich Sevost’yanov (8, October, 1980, Donetsk, Ukraine), senior researcher of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of NAS of Ukraine, Cand. of Phys.–Math. Scie. (2006) on the specialty 01.01.01 «mathematical analysis».

E.A. Sevost’yanov was graduated fr om the Donetsk National University in 2002. Before 2002, his scientific work was closely connected with the Department of the Mathematical Analysis and Function Theory in the Donetsk National University, and his scientific adviser Cand. Phys.–Math. Scie., associate Professor, Viktor Zastavny.

In 2002 E.A. Sevost’yanov entered the post-graduate courses of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of NAS of Ukraine, wh ere his new supervisor was Professor Vladimir Illich Ryazanov. He graduated from the post–graduate courses in 2005. Later, in the February of 2006, E.A. Sevost’yanov successfully defended a thesis «On the convergence theory of space mappings with finite length distortion» and after that have got a degree of Candidate of Phys.–Math. Scie. Supervisor on the above thesis was Professor Vladimir Ryazanov.

Note that the scientific opinion of E.A. Sevost’yanov was also formed by the help of such mathematicians as Vladimir Gutlyanski, Vladimir Miklyukov, Bogdan Bojarski, Viktor Zastavny and others.

E.A. Sevostyanov has active collaboration with Ruslan Salimov, who is his friend, and has some number of joint work with him. It is necessary to note other contacts of E.A. Sevostyanov with young mathematicians such as S.M. Zagorodnyuk, D.P. Ilyutko, I.M. Pupyshev and others.
